Here's a thought I have been wrestling with and would love some feedback! So what does it mean to be a Tribal woman?

I'm still pondering this a bit, but the first thing that came to my mind was earthy and free...sort of that gypsy spirit that can be so seductive in a 8 to 5 world.

Also, especially with the ATS, I get a sense of belonging. As I get to know the members of my tribe - and meet members of other tribes - I know I am a part of a greater community of unique and amazing individuals.

Sorry it took so long to reply...it's been crazy here with the end of school approaching.

I think I agree with Zuza...it's very much about being part of a community.

Maybe it means other things, too, though. Definitely it means loving bellydance. (How could it not?)

It also means, to me, learning about and embracing some aspects of a very different culture, encouraging your tribe and yourself to feel good about your abilities, encouraging those around you, etc.

Finally, it's very much a chance for me to find some women with whom I have common interests. It's very hard to do since most of my colleagues are men, so having some "girl time" is a lot of fun. I've met some very beautiful women that way, and I'm really glad I got to know them, even if we can't always keep in touch.
