Ha! Pass the collection plate! Donations of $50 readily accepted! :-) I guess it's up to everyone. I don't want to put people on the spot because I know this workshop is expensive already...but I have to make a decision on Sunday still. The reason for that is I have to either pay for the rec center or call and cancel the reservation. So you guys can talk among yourselves and decide if you want to do that or not. If everyone is willing to put in another $50-$75 and Paulette is willing to come out herself, it might be doable. (I was going to try to really try to get a lot of advertising out for the show...) I'll email Paulette about the flight arrangements and let you guys know.

Cherish, I hate to open up this can'o worms, but personally I'd be willing to pay an extra fee if it would help to prevent the entire thing from being cancelled. I don't know what everyone else's thoughts are on it, so that's why I'm putting this message "out there to the masses" rather than p.m'ing you. Again, I don't know what everyone's thoughts are on it, (and I hope no one feels pressured by this message, TOTALLY not my intent) but I'd be fine with paying another $50 or so if it meant not having to cancel. (Not even sure if that would help) Ladies? Thoughts? Darcy (P.S. Re having only Paulette, personally I'd be fine with just one clinician. We'll see how she feels about it)

I've run the numbers and here's the situation: The expenses for this workshop are going to be over $3500. Right now, I'm going to be $1600 down if I go through the workshop. I'm assuming I can make up around $300 with the show (which also worries me as we only have four performers), but that still leaves a deficit of $1300. I know a couple of you have said there are one or two people considering coming. If those people come, and Paulette is willing to come out here herself (which would reduce costs by about $400...and I haven't checked with her about this), I would still need an additional 4 people to register. So what it amounts to is that unless I have confirmation that six more people are coming *for sure*, I'm going to have to cancel the event. I'm willing to take a hit, but $900 is just more than I can afford. I have to make a decision by Sunday, so if some people are sitting on the fence, please let me know today or tomorrow. Otherwise, I'll have to cancel the event. I'm really sorry.
